Lalrinpuii Wins Women Icon Award,Aizawl/New Delhi: Mizoram’s Health & Family Welfare Minister, Smt. Lalrinpuii, won the prestigious Women Icon Award 2026 at the National Summit 2026 — Vikshit Bharat 2047 through Comprehensive Socio-Economic Development. Achievers’ World and the Indian Achiever Forum organized the summit at Le Meridien Hotel in New Delhi.
The organizers honoured her for strengthening healthcare services in Mizoram. Over the past few years, she has introduced reforms to upgrade hospitals and primary health centres. In addition, she has worked to expand services in rural and remote areas. As a result, more citizens now access essential medical care.
Commitment to Teamwork
During her speech, Lalrinpuii expressed her gratitude for the award. However, she clarified that the award is not a result of individual achievement but a result of collective efforts. According to her, doctors, nurses, officers, and field staff have been the key to the progress made on the ground. Their hard work, she said, has continued to improve the state’s health care system.
In addition, she said that a strong institution is a result of collective effort. Rather than taking credit for the award, she pointed out the unity within the department. As such, she dedicated the award to all the staff members who work for the people of Mizoram.

The summit focused on the national vision of Vikshit Bharat 2047. Leaders from across the country discussed socio-economic development, women empowerment, and inclusive growth. At the event, Lalrinpuii reaffirmed Mizoram’s commitment to these goals. She stated that quality healthcare forms the backbone of national progress.
Furthermore, she stressed that development must reach every household. For this reason, the state continues to invest in better infrastructure and improved medical facilities. Meanwhile, special attention remains on vulnerable communities and remote regions.
